9–10 October 2026 | Marrakech, Morocco
A celebration of love and timeless elegance, bringing together family and friends from New York City and Switzerland.
At the magnificent Selman Marrakech, Lana and François celebrated their love over two unforgettable days, surrounded by family and friends who travelled from New York City and Switzerland to share this special occasion with them. Choosing Selman Marrakech as the setting for their wedding held a particularly special meaning for Lana. The hotel shares its name with her grandfather, making the venue choice a beautiful and deeply personal tribute. Beyond its exceptional architecture and enchanting gardens, Selman Marrakech represented a meaningful connection to her family, adding an extra layer of sentiment to an already unforgettable celebration. It was the perfect place to bring together the people closest to Lana and François and create memories that would be cherished for years to come.
Set against the breathtaking architecture and lush gardens of one of Marrakech’s most iconic luxury hotels, their wedding blended the romance of a destination celebration with the warmth and authenticity of Moroccan hospitality. From a candlelit welcome dinner beneath the spectacular arches of the stables to a romantic ceremony overlooking the hotel’s impressive 80-metre swimming pool, every moment was designed to create a memorable experience.
As their wedding planner, Party Maroc brought together elegant settings, atmospheric lighting, thoughtful details and traditional Moroccan entertainment to create a celebration that reflected the couple’s vision while embracing the unique character of Marrakech.
The celebrations began on 9 October with a magical welcome evening in the historic stables of Selman Marrakech.
Beneath the magnificent terracotta arches, two long banquet tables welcomed 140 guests for an intimate dinner filled with warmth and Moroccan charm. The impressive architectural setting provided a dramatic backdrop, enhanced by the soft glow of traditional Moroccan lanterns, flickering candles and elegant table decorations.
The rich terracotta tones of the architecture, intricate metalwork of the lanterns and warm candlelight created an inviting atmosphere, transforming the space into an elegant setting for the first evening of the wedding celebrations.
Traditional Moroccan folklore brought the evening to life, introducing guests to the music, rhythm and cultural traditions that make Marrakech such a captivating destination for weddings.
It was the perfect beginning to a weekend of celebration, allowing Lana and François to welcome their guests in an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and authentically Moroccan.
On 10 October, the celebrations continued with the wedding ceremony on the green veranda of Assyl Restaurant.
Overlooking Selman Marrakech’s spectacular 80-metre swimming pool, the setting offered a beautiful combination of lush greenery, elegant architecture and open views across the resort.
The ceremony space featured elegant white floral arrangements, creating a romantic focal point against the natural landscape. Rows of wooden chairs framed the aisle, while the pool stretched into the distance, adding a sense of scale and tranquillity to the setting.
The result was a refined and romantic ceremony that allowed the beauty of Selman Marrakech to take centre stage.
With the Marrakech sky above and the hotel’s iconic pool as their backdrop, Lana and François exchanged their vows surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy cocktails in the olive grove, where the natural beauty of the gardens provided a relaxed and elegant setting.
Surrounded by olive trees and the tranquil atmosphere of the resort, guests could mingle, enjoy refreshments and celebrate with the newlyweds before the evening’s festivities began.
The transition from the ceremony veranda to the olive grove allowed guests to discover another beautiful corner of Selman Marrakech while enjoying a relaxed moment together.
Every detail contributed to the character of Lana and François’s celebration, including the seating plan.
Inspired by Morocco’s earthy tones and traditional craftsmanship, terracotta pots were incorporated into the design, creating a distinctive decorative feature that complemented the venue’s architecture.
Combining natural textures with Moroccan-inspired styling, the seating plan offered a creative alternative to traditional signage while remaining in harmony with the overall aesthetic of the wedding.
These thoughtful details helped create a cohesive design, connecting the ceremony flowers, reception décor and distinctive architectural surroundings.
As evening arrived, guests gathered indoors for the wedding dinner.
The transition from the outdoor celebrations to the interior setting created a different atmosphere for the evening, bringing everyone together to enjoy dinner and celebrate with the newlyweds.
The festivities continued with a lively Zaffa procession, bringing music, energy and a sense of occasion to the celebration. This traditional celebratory entrance introduced a vibrant cultural element to the evening and marked the beginning of the party.
A DJ then took over, keeping the energy high as guests filled the dance floor and celebrated late into the night.
The after-party brought the two-day celebration to a joyful close, with music, dancing and unforgettable moments shared between family and friends who had travelled from New York City and Switzerland to be together in Marrakech.
Lana and François’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of what makes Marrakech such a special destination for a wedding celebration.
The city’s distinctive architecture, rich cultural heritage and exceptional hospitality provided the perfect backdrop for two days that combined elegant design with authentic Moroccan experiences.
From the candlelit welcome dinner in the stables to the ceremony overlooking the pool, cocktails in the olive grove and lively evening reception, each part of the celebration offered a different atmosphere while remaining connected by a consistent design vision.
At Selman Marrakech, the setting itself became an essential part of the experience. The terracotta architecture, landscaped gardens, traditional lanterns and expansive pool created a remarkable backdrop for a wedding that brought together guests from New York City and Switzerland.
For Party Maroc, the celebration brought together thoughtful planning, refined styling and Moroccan traditions, creating a seamless journey across two days of meaningful moments.
Lana and François’s wedding at Selman Marrakech was a celebration of love, connection and the beauty of bringing people together in one of Morocco’s most extraordinary settings.
